Lali Ayguadé
Lali Ayguadé joined the Instituto del Teatro de Barcelona in 1996 and PARTS a year later. Her professional career includes working with the Publik Eye Company and Carmen Mehnert (DK), the Akram Khan Company and Hofesh Shechter in London, as well as with Marcos MorauLa Veronal, Roberto Olivan and Baró d’Evel.
Lali has choreographed with several artists; “Twice read”, “Little me”, “Encuentro” and others. In 2013 she created the duets “Incognito and Saba” and Kokoro, her first long piece, in 2015 and “De Camino al Otro” in 2016. She is currently touring internationally with her work “iU an Mi”, co-produced by the Mercat de les Flors. In 2010 and 2014 she was nominated for the London Critics Awards and the Barcelona Crítica Recomana.cat awards. She is the lead actor in the short film “Timecode”.
Workshop
This class aims to research transformation through physicality. It consists of a technical class (warm-up and phrases) to prepare both body and mind. We then work with improvisation based on certain guidelines and carry out personal and choreographic investigation designed to discover new routes for physicality. The workshop aims to learn how to use the floor to dance, emphasising the soles of the feet as the support for movement; to recognise where our weight is and where freedom can be found through phrases and improvisations.
