Contemporary Dance / Asymmetrical Motion

This movement methodology researches the agility of the body, from different perspectives, for the purpose of its movement and ability to travel through space.
Understanding agility as the most efficient way to organize oneself and achieve maximum potential.
We will research the natural asymmetries of the body mostly focused on the spine; and in the relationships between the skull, the rib cage and the pelvis.
The use of the limbs as an expansion of the asymmetric movement of the spine and at the same time as a support to experience its freedom.
The relation between the supports, weight distribution, movement of the structure to find the inertia that is produced in the relationship of forces and weights.
The possibility of perceiving space as infinitely open, vast and three – dimensional where the body will move.
The methodology is based on learning through the observation and verbalization of the experience in order to collectively generate tools that are shared and investigated by the whole group.
Understanding the dance experience as the pleasure that occurs at the moment of discovery.
