Make and move
In this laboratory, I am interested in sharing the practice I have developed as a dancer and performer throughout these years, through my creations and collaborations with artists from other disciplines such as music, fashion, and film. I understand the body as an archaeological site, a container of other bodies, and movement as the tool we use to unearth its deepest layers.
The method I use for this research is guided improvisation from different perspectives. I will propose an excavation process through different physicalities to explore the materials that compose it: bones, muscles, fascia, substances, imaginaries, sounds, ideas, beliefs, emotions, sensations, and all embodied knowledge. We will work on gaze, pause, listening, and the voice as an invisible limb, understanding the independence of the joints and their connections. We will explore the body as a resonating box and its capacity to fictionalize, expand, and reinvent itself. To enter this work more consciously, we will focus on four bodies: physical, energetic, emotional, and sonic. Through play, we will break patterns and open new possibilities that invite us to create other rules that respond to our needs and interests.
The main objective of this workshop is to awaken the need to discover, to be curious, to enjoy, and to take risks without fear of error or the idea of failure. To approach, with humility, a greater knowledge. To listen to that inner voice that brings us closer to who we are, beyond who we think we are, and to become a channel. An introspective journey to grow and open up, to inhabit the unknown knowledge we carry without fear.
