Several alumni from La Faktoria Choreographic Center have been selected to participate in the multidisciplinary performance In Perspective, a show that explores the connection between dance, architecture, and music in unique spaces such as the Sacred Museum of Bilbao and the Royal Palace of Aranjuez. The performance is work and direction of Laida Aldaz, co-director of La Faktoria CC. It also features the participation of our former students Stefano Matiello, Clarissa Costagliola, Manon Jacquelin, Maider González, Gregory Alliot, and Sergio Navarro, who continue their professional paths by contributing their talent to this project. The team also includes Juanma Urriza as a musician and Bertha Bermúdez as an assistant director.
In Perspective is an immersive experience that invites the audience to move along with the piece, navigating through different scenes and dance perspectives within the space. The choreography is inspired by the textures, colors, lights, and angles of the architectural space, creating a cinematic and enveloping atmosphere. As spectators walk and explore the architectural corners of the venue, they discover choreographic moments designed to evoke a deep connection between the building and the moving body.
The Perspective/Heritage project has been made possible with the support of the Leonardo Grant for Researchers and Cultural Creators 2023 from the BBVA Foundation, an initiative that promotes research and creation in the cultural field. The participation of La Faktoria alumni in this event not only represents a professional achievement for them but also reflects the level of excellence and training in contemporary dance that our artistic community continues to embrace.
