During August and September 2024, artistic residencies took place at La Faktoria, offering an opportunity for artists to conduct research with the support of studio, space, housing, and financial assistance. More specifically, in the second half of August, the LUR Residency for independent artists hosted the talented Sabrina Gargano, along with her photographer and external eye, Rafa Jagat. This residency was special, as it allowed her to begin her research. Additionally, in September, the 7 Provinces Residency took place, for artists from Biscay, Gipuzkoa, Álava, Navarre, and the French Basque Country. Riart Company and Olaia Valle were welcomed in this program. Riart Company, a local company, developed their project Ragoh/Home, while Olaia presented her initiative “Between My Body and Me. Llorona, Take Me to the River.” We at La Faktoria Choreographic Center also extend our gratitude to the Government of Navarra and the Ministry of Culture for their support of these residencies.
