VIDEO AUDITION FOR NON-EUROPEAN AND NON-EU SCHENGEN CANDIDATES
OPEN CALL FROM THE 29TH OF APRIL 2024 TILL THE 10TH OF MAY 2024
Registration fee to participate in the in-person auditions is 15 euro to be paid in the moment of the inscription.
FINAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
The 20TH of May 2024 the candidate of the auditions will receive an email with the results. La Faktoria will let them know if they have a place in our Center and in which program. The direction will consider the candidate’s choice of Program but at the same time will take into account their capacities for it in order to offer them a place.
FEE OF THE PROGRAM 2024-2025
The Fee for the Program 2024-2025 is a total amount of 6000 Euro
(This fee includes a Registration Fee of 1000 Euro and a Tuition Fee of 5000 Euro).
La Faktoria does not have a scholarship program; we encourage our participants to find regional and state government support in their own countries and private foundation subsidies.
PAYMENT METHOD AND DEADLINES
The Payment method is as follows:
The 20TH of May 2024 selected candidates from in person auditions and video auditions will receive a confirmation email from La Faktoria of having a place in the group.
He/she/they has till the 31st of May 2023 to pay the Registration Fee of 1000 Euro and be enrolled in the program. This amount is not refundable, since it allows the selected candidate to block their place in the group.
Once the participant is enrolled in the program by having paid the registration Fee, he/she/they has a deadline to pay the Tuition fee of 5000 Eur till the 22nd of July 2024.
The tuition Fee must be paid in its entirety since payment installments is not an option.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROGRAM 2024-2025
THE PROGRAMS WILL HAVE A TOTAL AMOUNT OF 37 WEEKS:
They will start the 7THof of October 2024 and will finish the 20TH of June 2025
Holiday periods:
- 2 weeks Holiday in December 2024
- 1 week Holiday in March 2025
- 2 weeks Holiday in Spring 2025
La Faktoria offers 2 different programs:
TRAINING PROGRAM is aimed at students of 18 years and over who wish to dedicate themselves to become professional dancers. The Training program participants will build a strong technical base working with numerous International Teacher and at the same time will grow in their creative universe to allow all their capacities to reach a maximum level and get ready for a professional life as a dancer and mover.
TRAINING PROGRAM
THIS PROGRAM IS ORGANISED AS A COMBINATION OF 5 DIFFERENT STRUCTURES:
- GUEST WEEKS
- MONOGRAPHIC-LAB WEEKS
- CONNECTED CREATIVE WEEKS
- TEC. WEEKS
- CREATION WEEKS
Classes, workshops, creative weeks, labs and creation weeks are running from Monday to Friday
1.GUEST WEEKS;
Combination of technique classes and workshops;
Morning classes from 9:30 to 11:00 of techniques such as:
Ballet for Contemporary dancers, Release technique, Floor work, Yoga and Body Weather.
(These techniques will be divided through the program in various combinations taking into consideration the physicality required from the Workshop):
After the technique classes:
Workshops with guest teachers from 11:15 to 17:15 with one hour of lunch break
Each guest teacher comes to LA FAKTORIA for a 2 week period.
Some of these workshops have an open showing at the end of the process in La Faktoria studios
- MONOGRAPHIC LAB WEEKS:
Choreographers Labs from 10:00 to 17:00 with one our lunch.
These weeks will be monographic. The Choreographer will organize the day with his/her own warm up practice. There will not be technical classes these weeks since the whole day the participants will have the opportunity to be immersed in the universe of the choreographer invited to the program.
Each choreographer comes to LA FAKTORIA for a 2 week period.
Some of these workshops have an open showing at the end of the process in La Faktoria studios
3.CONNECTED CREATIVE WEEKS FOR PERSONAL WORK
Designed to give the space and time to the participants who wish to create their personal work, be part of a collective creative process or be directed by participants of the Creators Program.
There are 2 studios in La Faktoria and 6 other studios located all in Pamplona.
- TEC. WEEKS
During Tec. weeks there will be Tec. classes from 10:00 to 17:00 in different combinations depending of the schedule:
These weeks are designed to improve the Physical and Technical capacity of the participants.
During the GUEST WEEKS, MONOGRAPHIC LAB WEEKS and TEC. WEEKS participants can continue to create their personal work after the daily schedule. They will have Studio availability from 17:30 to 21:00 in La Faktoria studios.
- CREATIVE TRIMESTER WITH CHOREOGRAPHERS:
In the last trimester of the program there will be 2 creative processes.
The Choreographers of these creative processes will be La Faktoria Directors MARTA CORONADO AND LAIDA ALDAZ,
The idea of the last trimester is to give the participants the experience of working under the direction of 2 choreographer to create 2 pieces and to develop professional tools needed in a dance company nowadays
One piece will have a 5-week creation process directed by Marta Coronado. The result will be performed in a Theater.
The other piece will be directed by Laida Aldaz: She will have a 3- week Creation process to build a Site-Specific performance.
The choreographers will organize the daily schedule depending on the needs of their creation
CREATORS PROGRAM is aimed for Participants of 18 years and over who are interested in becoming dance makers. This program will provide the Space and the Infrastructure needed to generate diverse choreographic profiles. It will stimulate reflection, questioning and the research for the Participants’ artistic language.

Each choreographer comes to LA FAKTORIA for a 2 week period.
- TEC. AND THEORY WEEKS
Different Combinations of Tec.and Theory classes from 9:30 to 17:00 i
These weeks are designed to improve the Physical and Technical capacity of the participants. Theory classes as Management, Dossier Structures and audio visual techniques will be proposed in these weeks.
4.CREATIVE WEEKS FOR PERSONAL WORK
Designed to give the space and time for the participants to create.
The directors of La Faktoria and Bertha Bermudez are in charge of the artistic coaching of these weeks and the organization of the Studios.
Each participant can create 2 different pieces during the year:
– Small format: The Creation of a solo or a duo
And/ or
– Big format: The Creation of a group piece. The Participants can organize themselves to work in collective or to direct a piece with some of the other dancers.
The final result of these creations will be presented during the month of June 2024.
During the GUEST WEEKS, RESEARCH LAB WEEKS and TEC. AND THEORY WEEKS participants can continue to create their personal work after the daily schedule. They will have Studio availability from 17:30 to 21:00 in La Faktoria studios. Dancers of the training program will be free those hours to participate in the processes directed by the creators.
ADITIONAL INFO
HOUSING IN PAMPLONA
Participants are requested to find and pay for their own housing the entire duration of the program.
Some participants share apartments together. Once the candidates have been chosen in the auditions and their registration has been confirmed, la Faktoria facilitates their contact among each other to find their own housing.
You can take into consideration that the monthly cost for a room in a shared apartment in Pamplona is around 350-400 Euro.
EVALUATION MEETINGS
The program has an evaluation period in February/March 2025
If the evaluation is positive and the participants show strong artistic interest to stay in our center, they can stay at La Faktoria a maximum of 3 consecutive programs.
Participants of the Training program can stay another year to follow the Creators program.
Participants of the Training program can stay a second year in the training program and a third year in the Creators program.
Participants of Creators program can stay a second year in the program.
ATTENDANCE CERTIFICATE
At the end of the programs the participants will obtain an Attendance Certificate signed by La Faktoria direction. The Choreographer and the teacher names plus the titles of their workshops will be certified in this document.
LANGUAGE
All classes and workshops are in English.
Candidates to participate in the program should be fluent in English to be able to understand the work and be able to express their ideas about it. The English level suggested corresponds to the B1 Official Language system.
